Who is SEPAC?
Our mission: To build community, empower families, and advocate for students with disabilities and other learning needs in our school district.
Our Vision: SEPAC envisions a Vashon Island where families of children with disabilities and other learning needs come together, share resources, gain knowledge, take pride in their child’s identity, and advocate for all children. In our vision, no family experiences the fear and uncertainty of trying to support their child in isolation.
We envision a school district that sees, understands, and celebrates students with disabilities; prioritizes high quality special education; and recognizes the voices of disabled students and their families as crucial to inclusion and equity in our schools.

All parents and allies of children receiving special education, 504 services and other learning assistance at the Vashon Island School District are welcome to join.

SEPAC hosts a variety of activities to build community, support one another and share knowledge. Join our FaceBook group, subscribe to our email list and visit our website for more information about our events. ALL are Welcome!
We EMpower
SEPAC supports families as they navigate the eduation system and keep them informed about VISD policies and laws that impact their children. We also educate parents by providing resources and hosting speakers throughout the school year.
We Advocate
SEPAC shares the experiences of students and families with VISD administration and advocates for positive change in our district. We attend regular meetings with VISD administrators to ensure all students needs are being met.
Vashon SEPAC hosts monthly events separate from our monthly group meeting. Check out our upcoming events and come connect with other Vashon parents, participate in a monthly meeting or join for an educational speaker.
